World Class Facilities
In July 2010 TiDA opened a world-class testing and prototyping facility for titanium powders and products in Tauranga.
The Applied Powder Metallurgy Centre is designed to cater for a wide range of industries. Essentially it’s a one-stop shop for design, prototyping, small scale manufacturing and physical properties testing.
The overall aim is to help build New Zealand’s powder metallurgy capabilities and research, and help New Zealand companies develop new products.
